Understand the Sixth Grade Schedule Structure!
All sixth grade students have four core classes, 2 electives of their choice, a PE course, and an intervention period.
All sixth grade students have the option to choose between on-level or advanced RLA and on-level or accelerated Math. See below for recommendations and things to consider when making the best choice for your child!
Sixth grade students are required to enroll in a physical education course. Students may choose between PE, Dance, and Pre-Athletics. Pre-Athletics is a course designed for students planning to participate in 7th grade athletics. Students will be introduced to the Aledo ISD athletic fundamentals and prepare for team sports offered in 7th grade athletics.
Explore all of the elective* choices we have in Aledo ISD and decide which ones interest you most!
*We do our best to give you your top choices for electives, but they cannot be guaranteed. If your child receives Dyslexia instruction, their Dyslexia class will be substituted for one elective.
