Sebastian Ortiz 

Hello! My name is Sebastian Ortiz, I am 1 of 2 high school students in the 532 division in Des Plaines. I am currently working under my mentor Peter Kenny with the CTA congress job. Over the past month I have been completing electrical and communication takeoffs, organizing submittals and sitting in on meetings with my mentor. Throughout these past couple weeks I have been able to see first hand how much work actually goes into a job and the preconstruction stage. Unfortunately we have not started to work on our job yet but I have been very lucky to visit other job sites, such as the 63rd CTA site and a couple of O'hare jobs. I am super excited for the rest of the summer and can’t wait to see where this takes me.
