Jose Medina 

Hi everyone, my name is Jose Medina and I am in division 570, working under my mentor Jeff Calihan. Unfortunately, our project has been in the pre construction phase since starting the internship, so I have not been able to see/experience much. Although the project has not started, I have learned what the preconstruction phase entails. There are takeoffs, submittals, reading over drawings and contracts, and material planning. Additionally, I have also learned a lot from attending important meetings that we have with other contractors, such as Kiewit, who are also a part of the project. Our project’s tentative start date is July 23, so I am excited to learn more on site.
