My name is Emily Kozlowska, and I have been working as the Finance Intern under Christine Pahnke in Div 720. This summer I have been rotating between helping Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Job Cost, as well as some special projects I have been finishing up this past week. Most of my work deals with cash receipts: I post checks and ACH payments company's general ledger through an accounting software called eCMS, and log those cash collections on spreadsheets I helped update for the month of July which then get sent out to division managers and PM's at the end of the day, everyday. I also help out with the 300748 Meta billings for materials every week using Tableau and Coupa; My task is calculating how much tax and total amount we are charging for each material invoice, which will get sent out to Meta by A/R by the end of the month. Additionally, every Wednesday I conduct a reconciliation report and prepare an invoice for weekly labor on job 301066, which are the data centers being built in DeKalb, that gets sent to BlackBox on a weekly basis. There is quite a colorful rotation of what my work involves every day, and I not only love that I was able to change the color theme of the spreadsheets being sent out to PM's to pink. but I also love that what I do day-to-day makes a direct impact on the financial operations conducted at Aldridge. I also have a standing desk.
