Elliot Harris 

My name is Elliott Harris I am a 2023 intern here in the 560 division. Since this was my first week in the field a lot of what I did was learning. My mentor was out of office this week so I was sent down to Terre Haute to work along side Quentin Lang. 

My main tasks for the week were to help Quentin with his various tasks as a project manager. One of the first things I did was help tag anchor boats. I was also lucky enough to get on the job sites often and got to see the work being done first hand. The crew was great. They showed me a great amount of respect while also allowing me to see their work safely. 

Next week, Dave Laires, my mentor, returns to the office and I will be joining him to further my learning experience. I’m looking forward to working alongside him and also getting on some more job sites. I’ve learned a lot about the importance of communication and how in order to be affective you must be open to others opinions. I thought Quentin did a great job at this as he was able to complete the tasks that were asked of him.
