Hi, my name is Dane Whitney and I am working as a prefab intern in Libertyville IL under Jeff Buckley. Working in prefab, I get to see a lot of pre assembly builds for various projects for Aldridge Electric. My primary responsibilities included working with CNC routing and GIS staging. I was responsible for CNC to keep the operator up to date on incoming tickets that needed to be run. I would have to delegate when to run certain files based on need by dates for prefab. For GIS, I mapped the Mungo warehouse of all the containers so the project team could find what materials they needed. We had 12 stages of building so we marked all of the containers and moved them in order to make it easier to pull boxes when they were needed based on the stage number. I have really enjoyed working with my coworkers and experiencing different builds that came into the prefab shop such as ductbank racks, port of LA racks, light pole concrete pours and other builds.
