Chandler School Playgrounds
In early 2023, the Duxbury Elementary Playgrounds Project Committee got to work on fundraising, events and ground root efforts to raise funds to build Laney's Playground at Chandler School. Local businesses participated in Love for Lane Week in February to show their support by donating a portion of their sales and raised thousands of dollars. On March 8, 2023, DEPP and the Ladd Family presented a check for $180,000 to Duxbury Public Schools for Laney’s Playground. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel towards our Love for Lane sponsors and the Duxbury community for coming together to make this happen! In addition, the town supported using $100,000 of the Community Preservation Act funds towards the front Chandler Playground. We met our fundraising goal for the Front Playground and work is underway to finalize plans for installation! Follow us on social media for the latest updates!

The Current Playgrounds
The cracked slide, detached monkey bars, broken bolts, uneven flooring and rust throughout the structures are all evidence of the need for new playgrounds at Chandler School. The new Chandler playgrounds will be engaging, inclusive and fun!
