Dear Duxbury Community,

The outpouring of love and support our family has received from the Duxbury community after the sudden loss of our daughter, Laney, has been tremendous. To all those who have reached out, lent a helping hand, hung a ribbon, offered a hug, dropped off a meal or kept us in your prayers, please know how grateful we are from the bottom of our hearts.

Laney was a vibrant and beautiful soul who enjoyed collecting seashells, heart-shaped rocks and watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. She was an adventurous soul who loved horseback riding, skiing, soccer and was an accomplished Bluefish Bridge jumper. Laney loved the challenge of the monkey bars at school. She was determined to make it all the way across and once she did she was so proud of herself.

Having the opportunity to dedicate the Chandler front playground in Laney’s honor has brought such happiness to our very heavy hearts. Imagining children such as Laney’s sisters, Elle and Parker, enjoying this playground for years to come is such a gift to our family. It feels comparative to watering a garden – a way to keep her spirit alive.

We can't thank Duxbury and the Chandler community enough for all they have done for our Laney. Everyone has been so gracious in offering their support to our family. For that reason, we would like to encourage those looking for a way to help to consider donating to the Duxbury Playground Project to help make the dream of Laney’s playground a reality.
