Hello all, I am so proud and grateful to be interning with AIS this year as I pursue my Master’s in Elementary Education at the University of Tennessee! I graduated from UTK in 2024 with a major in Geology and Environmental Studies and a minor in Elementary Education.
I was born in the Czech Republic and grew up in Kingsport, east Tennessee. My family is all over, so traveling to spend time with them is very important to me. I enjoy gaming, cuddling my cat, and being outdoors!
Like Mr. Price, teaching runs in my family as my grandmother taught elementary and my mother teaches English in the Czech. I have experience with swim and foreign language lessons as well as teaching or directing youth camps of all ages. I have general education classroom experience in 2nd and 4th grades. In between undergrad and grad school, I worked as a 6th-12th grade science and math teacher in a therapeutic behavioral program.
While it took me some time to find my path, I am now so thankful for the opportunity to apply my science background to my teaching career. I am passionate about opportunities that empower students to engage in the STEM field in their own unique way. I look forward to working with Mr. Price this school year -- I can't wait to learn and grow with your student as I observe and teach alongside the amazing team at AIS! Go Tornadoes and Go Vols!
