The beekeeper is Nathan Hill. He is the uncle of two AES students: Elsie Hill and Elliott.Honey bee colony’s are actually in trouble in the United States with a phenomenon known as “colony collapse”. Mrs. Honabach - Komodo Dragon
Komodo dragons are the heaviest lizards on earth and are only found on 5 of Indonesia's Lesser Sunda Islands. They are carnivores (meat eaters) and eat carrion, deer, pigs, smaller dragons, and even large water buffalo. They have good eyesight but they primarily use their forked tongue to detect molecules in the air that direct them to their prey. Komodo dragons use camouflage and wait for their prey to get close. Then, they bite and shred their prey with sharp serrated teeth. The attack may not kill the animal right away but the Komodo’s saliva will, because it is full of bacteria. The Komodo dragon can eat 80% of its weight at one time. Komodos are powerful swimmers and can climb trees.Mrs. Honabach - Komodo Dragon

Mrs. Combest - Red-Headed Rock Agama
The red-headed rock agama is one of the most spectacular reptiles on the planet. Like a male bird becoming brighter in breeding season, a male rock agama develops brilliant coloration on the face and body during the warmer parts of the day. Provocation of aggression through territorial conflict may also cause the males to quickly flush with a brighter color. The contrast between a red face and a brilliant blue body has led this animal to become something of an Internet celebrity, known as the “Spider-Man lizard.” The lizards measure around 14-15 inches in length, and feed on a wide variety of small prey gathered from their habitat. Agama lizards are the dominant lizard group in Africa.Mrs. Combest - Red-Headed Rock Agama

Unlike fish, who breathe using gills, dolphins have lungs and must come to the surface frequently to breathe. Dolphins are the only mammal, other than manatees who spend their whole lives in water. Dolphins give birth to one baby, called a calf, at a time. Calves stay with their mothers for up to five years and mother dolphins produce milk and nurse calves for up to one year until they are able to find and eat fish. Dolphins are very social and live in pods (we don’t think dolphins would be fans of social distancing). They communicate with squeaks, whistles, and clicks. Some scientists believe that they have their own language. Carson is hoping to get to experience swimming with dolphins this summer!Carson - Dolphin
