Performing Arts is an important part of the new Curriculum and Albert Primary have a proud tradition of fantastic performing arts activity.

The Talent Shack

A Cardiff based, not-for-profit organisation enabling young people to get access to the arts, and be inspired about theatre making in our very own theatre space!  The Talent Shack focuses on acting, drama, singing and musical theatre. We teach LAMDA grades in Verse and Prose, Acting and Musical Theatre as one to ones; Youth Theatre; Musical Theatre productions.  

"Young people learn skills with us that will help them achieve in all aspects of their life; confidence, self awareness, body awareness, public speaking, creative thinking, and presentation skills.  We teach all aspects of the performing arts including technical theatre arts. We run volunteer programmes and have scholarships and bursaries available that low income, local families can access easily. "

Classes start from age 4.

The Dance Shack

A Cardiff based, not-for-profit organisation enabling young people to get access to the arts, and be inspired about theatre making in our very own theatre space!

The Dance Shack offers classes in jazz, modern, ballet for children as well as an adult timetable of dance technique, dance fit and creative choreography.

Classes start from Age 7, although parent and baby classes are also available.

Jeff Guppy School of Musical Theatre

Get ready to dive into the world of Theatrical, Drama, and Dance with us at the Jeff Guppy School of Musical Theatre! Nestled in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, our classes welcome everyone from 4 to 104 years old. Whether you're just starting out or looking to perfect your skills, we've got you covered. From Teenies to Seniors, our classes are designed to suit all levels and ages.


If you're new to the stage, our Mini Musical Theatre and Teenies classes are the perfect place to start. We'll introduce you to dancing, singing, and acting in a fun and supportive atmosphere.  Led by industry pros, our classes focus on hard work, discipline, and of course, having fun! It's all about building friendships, teamwork, and letting your creativity shine.

PAAW - Performing Arts Academy Wales

Performing Arts Academy Wales offer the very best in dance, acro and performing arts training.  PAAW believes that every child should be nurtured irrespective of ability, and training should be offered to all at the highest standard.

The Academy also has a social dimension where all can grow in self-confidence both through the skills they learn and the friendships they make, fostering a family atmosphere.

Stagecoach

At Stagecoach Penarth we provide fun, professional, inclusive, high quality training in the performing arts. Our aim is to provide our students with creative courage for life, through exciting and engaging dance, singing and drama classes.

We believe that children learn most effectively whilst having fun and feeling comfortable to express themselves. Stagecoach Penarth will help build confidence, self esteem, creativity and communication skills, that will benefit them in future years.

Miriam Risborough School of Ballet

The school offers training in Classical Ballet following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus.  Students are entered for all graded exams through to vocational level for those students wishing to pursue a career in dance via full time training, To date the school has 100% pass rate in all exams taken.  

Younger students are encouraged to explore dance in a fun environment through musicality, movement and mime.  Older students are introduced to the disciplines of body alignment, posture and exact placements that are required in classical dance.

Bliss Dancers

We're looking to train new students in dance; bringing a fun environment while improving confidence, physical fitness and team building. We can't wait to show you what we do.

We have plenty of classes within the Vale of Glamorgan; have a look at the classes shown below and then (in order to join for a free trial class) fill in our form to join by clicking "register to join" showing in the main menu. Once you have completed registration; we will receive confirmation and then contact you to book you in for a free trial.

We have two shows per year and also take part in competitions and many other events.  We also add in social events so all our students will feel part of a team and parents as part of the community.


Classes start from age 3.
