Public tax dollars must be used as efficiently as possible

We believe that Quality of life requires the support of recreation, arts & culture along with a strong economic environment
We will direct help where it is needed the most.
Alberta Party plans to:
Deliver affordability payments to those that need it most including students, renters, families without children and singles.
Cutting taxes for low-income Albertans by increasing the personal exemption for those making less than $50,000
Increasing the support for those on income supports to ensure a living wage (indexed to inflation)
A long-term commitment to invest in affordable housing in partnership with Municipal and Federal government
Lower the costs of post-secondary and training by 50% over 5 years
Introduce a residential property tax credit
Repatriate the carbon Levy and distribute the proceeds back to Albertans
Reform the regulated rate for electricity and natural gas
Working with our healthcare professionals is how we will innovate and create preventative measures to create timely access to care.
Alberta Party plans to:
Fund a plan to ensure every Albertan has access to a family physician
Double the seats for all allied health professional training in Alberta
Increase residency spaces for both foreign trained and Canadian trained Doctors
Improve financial incentives for Family medicine doctors, rural doctors and medical practitioners
Create more efficient certification pathways for foreign trained health care workers
Allow Nurse Practitioners and others to be realizing their full scopes of practice in a team environment by reforming billing rules
Address EMS staffing issues to resolve response times
Invest in prevention to keep Albertan’s out of acute care
Mental health is health care and should be funded as such
Our public dollars must be used effectively, efficiently, and sustainably to attract more investment into Alberta.

Establish Alberta as a clean energy leader in oil and gas non-renewable and emerging renewable sources for Canada and the world by providing stable, competitive regulatory policy that serves the long term needs of Alberta and investors

Investing in education at all levels is the path to developing knowledge and skills to improve our future.
Alberta Party plans to:
Put a freeze on funding for Private and Charter Schools and commit to properly fund public education
Adopt class size recommendations(k-3: 17, 4-6: 23, 7-9: 25, 10-12: 27)
Adopt a new funding model that responds to dynamic changes in classrooms
Resource-preventative wellness programs for students and teachers
Fund access to mental health support and therapy
Commit to identifying learning challenges in preschool children and properly fund the assistance required
Develop a province-wide, priority-based infrastructure plan for schools
In collaboration with stakeholders including teachers and students create a non-partisan curriculum based on best practices
Collaborate solutions for inclusion and dignity for people. Lift up Albertans with disabilities, addictions, affordability, and youth at risk.
The Alberta Party plans to:
Support a growing seniors population that will peak in the next decade
Improve the lives of approx. 370 000 Albertans living with disabilities
Seek first to listen and then understand the issues and challenges facing Alberta Indigenous and Metis peoples
Seek prevention as well as treatment (“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults” (Frederick Douglass, 1817-1895) )
