This week, we will imagine that we are the intended audience for our peer's work. We'll do a deep dive peer review into your classmates' work. This is an opportunity to not only help your peers, but also show what you've learned about the rhetorical situation this semester.
For the reading this week, I recommend reading all of the pieces in the Week 14 folder. This will give you a sense of which ones you have enough to say about. If you find a piece where you might be the intended audience or you might know people who are the intended audience, I highly encourage you to give feedback on that piece. It will be incredibly helpful for the author. That being said, also try to spread out the feedback that authors are receiving. If you see that one piece already has two or more responses, please try to respond to someone else so that everyone gets the benefit of peer feedback.
The writing assignment for this week will be to do an analysis that touches on what the intended audience might make of the projects that your peers have created. I am asking you to write a letter to your peer about what you understand about their piece. It should be a full page letter and it should take the whole rhetorical situation into consideration. This is your chance to show what you have learned about the rhetorical situation this semester and to use your knowledge to help you peer create a better project.
Read all of the pieces in the Week 14 folder (embedded below) and CHOOSE TWO to do a deep analysis on. Please choose at least two classmates who do not already have two peer reviews from other peers. If you are having trouble finding a peer who does not already have two peer reviews from other classmates, please contact me ASAP so that I can help. Also, if you are the intended audience for the work, or you feel like you are familiar with the intended audience, that would be great feedback for the author to have.
Upload your letters in the Google Drive folder below. Make sure to put your peer's name also in the file name so that they can find it. For example: "Jaclyn Bergamino's Letter to William Shakespeare." Each letter that you write will be worth 5 points. It is recommended to write 2 letters for full credit this week. If you'd like, you can write more letters for extra credit.
Write a full-page letter to your peer that answers the following questions in detail.
