Dr. Doğa Öztürk is an Assistant Professor studying the coupled magnetosphere-ionosphere-thermosphere systems using numerical models and data analysis. She is the lead of the UAF SWUG program.

Dr. Don Hampton is an Associate Professor and uses optical instruments to observe and study the aurora and upper atmosphere.

Whitham Reeve was a registered professional electrical engineer and has numerous contributions to scientific and amateur radio astronomy. He founded Reeve Engineers in 1978 and was the president until he retired the company in 2010. In addition to being the provider of the SAM-III magnetometer kits, Mr. Reeve is also a consultant for the SWUG team.
Lori Schoening is an Education Designer who specializes in culturally relevant STEM curriculum development and outreach for K-12 students and their teachers.
Vincent Ledvina is a PhD student in the Space Physics Department. Apart from his work on auroral beads, he has a vast experience in auroral photography and is known as 'the aurora guy'.
