Enjoying Good Company

We have successfully met our second object on the trip: having fun! Both Girdwood and Seward welcomed us with unbelievably good weather conditions, i.e. practically no rain and sunny skies. Could not be a better time for us to enjoy the scenery, hike and observe wildlife. Our long productive days ended with group dinners, prepared by us with a little help from our mentors, who are far more experienced cooks.

Our rental cabin in Girdwood was fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Relaxing in the sauna or the outdoor hottub are some of the memorable moments from this trip. The outdoor activities our group has experienced were equaly enjoyable. As we climbed the rocks close to the shore, the wind and the dangerous mudflats provided a nice touch of dangerous adventure.

Cruising on a boat in Seward, we got to admire all sorts of wildlife: sea lions, otters, orcas and seagulls are just some of the creatures that have been encountered.
