Important Announcement - IBFRA 2021 CONFERENCE Shifts to Virtual ONLY

Due to the continued uncertainties created by the pandemic, we have made the decision, like many other events in 2021, to move the IBFRA 2021 Conference to an entirely online format. The dates for the conference remain unchanged, August 16-20, 2021. With this new format, we reschedule the conference to half-days, to minimize the fatigue of engaging in online sessions for entire days, as well as to optimize engagement despite time zone differences. The conference program will be held from:

7:00 am to 1:00 pm Alaska Standard Time 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm Central European Time

12:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time 12:00 am to 6:00 pm China Standard Time

The virtual conference will include our regular panel and plenary sessions, keynote address, poster sessions, as well as spaces for impactful networking opportunities. In addition to participation in the live event, all attendees will have access to conference recordings for an additional 30 days upon completion of the conference.

You're invited to submit an abstract to our session for AGU 2020!

While we are waiting for the IBFRA 2021 conference, this year's AGU Fall Meeting will be mostly virtual. Looking on the bright side of life, this will be a great opportunity for a wider-than-usual international participation.

Scientists working in Boreal and Arctic regions, we invite you to submit an abstract to our session entitled "Stasis and Change in Warming Arctic Ecosystems: Achieving New Understanding Through Long-term Ecological Research". This session invites contributions that seek to understand stasis and change in long-term ecological time series from terrestrial, aquatic and coastal ecosystems in the boreal forest and tundra of the Arctic region. We welcome studies that use historic in situ, and/or remote sensing observations to understand long-term data. We will use the capacity for virtual participation to reach out to a diverse, international community of scientists working on long-term ecological research in the Arctic region.

Deadline for abstract submission: July 29th 2020.
