Most Popular

Illumina Miseq

The industry leading instrument for focused applications such as targeted gene sequencing, amplicon sequencing, metagenomics, small genome sequencing, targeted gene expression, HLA typing, QC for HiSeq libraries, and more.

MiSeq reagents enable up to 15 Gb of output with 25 M sequencing reads and 2x300 bp read lengths.

Please see our amplicon sequencing pricing summary here. Please contact the Genomics Core Lab coordinator for a quote. Sample submission guidelines can be found here

Data Retention Policy: All data generated will be made immediately available to researchers via the BaseSpace sequence hub . It is important that researchers make copies of their data and immediately back it up. It is recommended that at least two copies be made and stored in separate locations. The Genomics Core Lab will only guarantee data storage for 90 days.

The Illumina MiSeq may only be operated by the trained technician.

BioTek-Synergy H1MG

Synergy™ H1 is a configurable multi-mode microplate reader. Choose monochromator-based optics for flexibility, filter-based optics for sensitivity, or both…BioTek’s patented Hybrid Technology™ offers high-performance and applications versatility in a modular platform to expand as your laboratory’s needs change. Top and bottom fluorescence intensity, UV-visible absorbance and luminescence detection are available to meet many life science research requirements. Capable of CO2/O2 incubation assays.

BioTek-Epoch

A standard UV-vis 96 well plate reader for spectrophotometric measurements (200-999nm).  An associated plate washer is available for use.

Spectramax Gemini EM

Create custom fluorescence assays without having to purchase expensive filter sets. The top- and bottom-reading Gemini EM Microplate Reader with dual monochromators lets users determine the optimal excitation and emission settings for creative new fluorescence intensity assays. If the best wavelengths are unknown, the Gemini EM reader will find them. Switch easily between top and bottom reading modes for solution- and cell-based assays.

Millipore Muse Cell Analyzer

Compact microcapillary flow cytometer for quantitative analsis of suspension and adherent cells 2-60 μm in diameter. This instrument can evaluate up to 3 cellular parameters – cell size (forward scatter) and 2 colors (detected in the red and/or yellow channels). All-in-one kits are available for analyzing cell count and viability, apoptosis, autophagy, oxidative stress, and cell signaling.

Milli Q Water

The Milli-Q EQ 7000 water purification system produces pyrogen and nuclease free water with a TOC (Total Organic Carbon) content of ≤5 ppb. The flow rate is adjustable up to a maximum of 2 L/min. A specific volume of water can be dispensed via the "Volumetric" option on the touchscreen interface and the speed of dispensed water can be changed by twisting the blue button on top of the dispenser. Water will automatically stop dispensing after 15 minutes (roughly 30 L).
