The 2026 Earth System Science (ESS) Student Research Symposium will be held on Saturday, February 28th from 2 - 5 p.m. in the International Arctic Research Center (IARC) and the Geophysical Institute (GI) buildings, followed by dinner and bowling at the Wood Center! This symposium is a showcase of UAF student research related to the broad field of Earth System Science, including geoscience, marine science, space physics, ecology, and more. Students will share their exciting findings in a poster-hall setting, allowing for intriguing conversations to unfold. Refreshments will be provided!

The presentations will be on the first floor of the IARC Building as you enter the main entrance of the building. A map of UAF campus and it's buildings can be found here.
The event will be followed by FREE dinner and bowling at the Wood Center, providing an opportunity to socialize and connect with students from across campus.
