Candidate for ASUAF President (Incumbent)
Riley von Borstel is a second year student of junior standing pursuing majors in Justice, Political Science, and Performing Arts with minors in Social Work and Psychology. She is from the rural, coastal community of Seward, Alaska, where she graduated from Seward High School in May 2019. Riley is a member of the UAF Honors College, where she serves as Vice President of the Honors Student Advisory Council, and also serves as the current ASUAF President. In her time as ASUAF President, she has placed her focus on being a unyielding support system for her fellow Nanooks throughout the entirety of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. She sits on and chairs several committees, is the chief executive officer for the body as a whole, and is the UAF representative for the Coalition of the Student Leaders. In addition to participating in the UAF Honors College and student government, she was Jane Bennet in UAF Department of Theatre and Film's production of Pride & Prejudice. Riley is also currently in the running for becoming the next Student Regent.

Hello, my name is Billy Morrow. I was born and raised in Kenai, and have lived in Alaska for my entire life. I am a sophomore here at UAF, and I have been involved with ASUAF for just about a year now. I am majoring in History with a minor in Fire Science. In this last year, we have all gone through quite a bit. While we have been somewhat limited in what we can do, important things have still happened! For instance, I led a drive to buy blue-light blocking glasses, as well as assisting on getting food cards for Student Support Services. With a return to somewhat normalcy soon, I am hoping even more can happen on campus for students to participate in so that we can have a fun college experience again. I hope everyone has a good day!
Candidate for Senate Seat A
Hiya! My name is Kathy, I'm a Social Work student here at UAF. I was born and mostly raised right here in Fairbanks. In my free time, I like playing video games, hanging with friends, chilling with my cat, and doing anything artsy and creative. Drawing is a big one, and I'm also learning to knit! My friends have described me as being kind and there for people when they need me, hard-working and dedicated, and a joy to be around.
My interest with ASUAF really goes into what I want to do with my social work degree and future career, which is to be an advocate to empower the voices of the people, in this case that'd be the student body of UAF, and help them get what they need from the systems available to thrive or improve those systems to better serve them.
Candidate for Senate Seat B (Incumbent)
Hello! My name is Pierce Brooks, and I am a sophomore pursuing a bachelors in chemistry. Since fall semester, I have been serving in ASUAF as a senator and the chair of the University Relations committee. Among other things, my committee has worked towards Middle College student representation and involvement in ASUAF proceedings. Thank you very much for your consideration!
Respectfully,
Pierce Brooks
Candidate for Senate Seat H (Incumbent)
Oscar is a first-year master's student of mathematics and a member of the ASUAF Trust Fund Board. He enjoyed serving ASUAF this past year as a senator on the rules committee and as chair of the finance committee, and he intends to leverage that experience --- see photo of him in a necktie --- to represent you even more effectively this year! In addition to sorting out COVID-induced and remote-work-related policies as we transition to a new "normal", he'd like to modernize the digital student experience beyond email and ad-driven social media.
