Positions on the ballot:
Senators attend weekly meetings, write and pass legislation, review funding proposals and advocate on behalf of all UAF students.
Senate Seats A through H are up for election.
Terms will last from May 1, 2021 through April 29, 2022.
The ASUAF President serves as the student body president, representing and speaking on behalf of UAF students to the UAF administration.
The President and Vice President must run on the same ticket.
The President's term will last from May 1, 2021 through April 29, 2022.
The ASUAF Vice President assists the President and serves as the chair of a number of important ASUAF committees.
The President and Vice President must run on the same ticket.
The Vice President's term will last from May 1, 2021 through April 29, 2022.
Due to a change in the ASUAF election procedures approved by the ASUAF Senate on Friday, April 2, 2021, any eligible student may now declare their candidacy for the positions of senator, president or vice president.
The candidacy declaration form will be open until 11:45 p.m. AK time on Monday, April 12, 2021.
Elections will take place via Nanook Engage on April 14 and 15, 2021.
Election results will be read at the ASUAF Senate Meeting on Friday, April 16, 2021.
