UFLI

Online Resources

The links below are a collection of resources available for use from UFLI or from ARI. They include resources to teach each lesson, grade level lesson videos, information and videos for each reading strand, UFLI decodable text guide, access to UFLI apps, and much more.

This folder includes over 900 UFLI resources including lesson slides, decodable texts, home practice pages, word cards, and activities. Everything from the UFLI Toolbox & Printable Resources have been downloaded here for easy access and to provide a single download. ARI reference cards, progress monitoring sheets, and small group planning documents can also be found here.

Files are in view mode until you download or make a copy of them. The folder can be dragged to your desktop to download as a unit, or files can be highlighted, right clicked on and a copy can be made to your Google drive. For more information on how to download or make a copy and which one is the best to use for a particular file click here

ARI's UFLI Parent Resource Site is designed for staff to share with parents. This site gives families an overview of the UFLI Foundations program, the UFLI Parent Guide to Homework, shares several excellent YouTube videos to guide families as they do the UFLI homework, provides them with printable letter tiles, and shares Scarborough's Rope for Parents.

ARI's Small Group Planning Sheets are designed to match the example in the UFLI manual. Documents have been created for each quarter with tabs at the bottom to provide planning sheets for each week. Each document can be modified and shared with staff that share students. Make a copy in Google drive to access an editable version. See handout for support making a copy.

ARI's Spelling Test Data Reports are designed to support the weekly progress monitoring assessments given in UFLI. Weekly forms provide staff with a place to record assessment scores from the two concepts, irregular words, and an overall test score. Data can be easily reviewed and sorted to determine if students are struggling with concept 1, concept 2, irregular words, or have mastered the skills presented that week. This information can be used to determine how to best utilize small group time. For additional information on using these reports, watch the UFLI Progress Monitoring and Differentiation webinar.

This link allows you to access the virtual blending board and word work mats. Tutorials are also available. Bookmarking each app is recommended if you are actively using them during daily lessons.

This link provides information on behavior management during UFLI lessons. It provides ideas and resources for both in person and virtual classrooms.

This guide pairs up UFLI decodable text with each lesson. It also pairs up books from other publishers with the appropriate UFLI lesson.

This link allows you to select an individual reading strand and find out more information about it. It provides a definition of that strand, links to all kinds of UFLI resources, and often includes a sample of that strand being taught.

This link allows you to select your grade and view a video of a  complete UFLI lesson. Participating in the lesson as if you are the student will help you gain the most from this experience. There are also links to grade level templates, sample lessons, a sample activity sequence, planning template, and scope and sequence.

This link provides access to lesson plan and implementation support, different styles of word cards, printable word work and alphabet tiles and mats, and resources organized by grade level. All of these resources are included in ARI's UFLI Folder.

This link provides access to all of the UFLI lessons, decodables, activities, and home practice sheets to go with each lesson. Items have to be downloaded individually.  The site is currently being repaired. All of these files have been downloaded by ARI and stored in a google folder. (See the link to ARI's UFLI folder. )

This is a link to UFLI's YouTube video playlist. It includes videos on implementing UFLI, using the slide deck, progress monitoring and differentiation, and much more.
