Training & Material Requests

Alyeska Reading Institute provides free UFLI training, materials, and resources for teachers and paraprofessional at schools across the state of Alaska. Click on the headings below to sign-up for UFLI training, grade-level cohorts, access office hours zoom, or request materials. Training must be complete before materials will be sent. 


ARI Live UFLI Training

ARI provides several opportunities for teachers and paraprofessionals to be trained to teach UFLI Foundations during core instruction or as an intervention.  Click on the link above to be contacted about setting up a training for your staff training or joining a scheduled UFLI training. 


ARI Asynchronous UFLI Training

ARI offers Asynchronous UFLI Foundations Training.  It is available for anyone wanting UFLI training. It can be completed individually, with a PLC, or during staff meetings or in services. This training consists of 6 module videos with note taking worksheets and a final quiz.  Individuals who complete this course with a final quiz score of 80% or higher will be emailed a certificate of completion and be able to receive free UFLI materials. (Principals must approve materials before they are sent.) A CEU is available. 


Office Hours

UFLI manuals are necessary to teach these lessons. Click on the link to request a free manual from ARI. Each manual will come with a set of ARI's UFLI Reference Cards.  (Principal approval is required before manuals can be sent.)
