PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS
Overview
This is a regular PE program conducted during school hours for grades KG to 10. The program is designed with a specific framework tailored to each grade, taking into account students' ages and physical abilities. Each activity and topic progresses appropriately for each grade. We have developed various supportive documents to ensure smooth program implementation and measure its success through a proper evaluation system.
Vision
Empowering every child at Akanksha to become physically, mentally, and socially strong individuals, and to acquire life skills through a range of PE activities that can be applied in daily life for a healthy and fulfilling sense of well-being.
Goal
To provide a comprehensive Physical Education curriculum at Akanksha that fosters physical fitness, mental resilience, and social skills, enabling every child to develop essential life skills. Through diverse and engaging PE activities, we aim to promote a lifelong commitment to health and well-being, ensuring each student can apply these skills in daily life for a fulfilling and balanced lifestyle.
Sports Program.
Overview: Sports Program is a short-duration, long-term initiative designed for students with extraordinary sports skills. This school-based program is conducted within school premises, utilizing training centers focused on specific sports and games. Athletes are trained by both internal and external specialized sports experts.
Vision: To identify students with sports talent and nurture their abilities through the before-and-after school Sports Program. We aim to connect exceptionally talented athletes with external academies, empowering them to represent Akanksha at the State and National levels.
Goals:
Enable at least 10% of students from Level 1 (~n=2700) to develop their sports talents and showcase them through various competitions.
Ensure at least 20% of students (~n=540) represent at the Zonal level and receive government stipends by 2029.
Facilitate at least 10% of students (~n=270) to represent at the State level and receive government stipends by 2029.
Develop at least 2% of athletes capable of competing at the National level in 12 identified sports by 2029, helping them gain admission to prestigious colleges and open up career opportunities in both the private and government sectors.
