Prices of property in Auckland are skyrocketing, it is becoming very expensive for businesses to rent spaces to operate from and for residents to rent or own their own homes. To help address the issue and ease financial pressure tiny spaces are becoming a popular solution. Your task is to identify a client who might have a need of a tiny space and design their ideal solution.

Individual Research: Identify and analyse a tiny space that interests you.
Include information like: pictures, materials, build costs, functional attributes, physical attributes, target audience, stakeholders, intended location, your own opinions, likes or dislikes about the design.
Brief, Specifications & Concepts - 1 A3
Tasks:
Identify your client rewrite the brief so that it specifically outlines the situation you have decided to address.
Write a set of specifications that outline the requirements of your outcome and promote a successful design.
Sketch a minimum of three DIFFERENT concept designs that solve the brief you have written.
Annotate your ideas with, measurements, explanatory notes, and justification of ideas.
Render your designs - Presentation is important.
Idea Development - 1 A3
Task:
1. Sketch three developing drawings that improve your ideas. These could be interior views, exterior views, floor-plans with adjusted measurements or details of a design feature.
2. Annotate to explain how these have been improved to meet the needs of your target audience.
3. Research interior furnishings, appliances, materials and fittings. Include images of these on your development page.
Final Design Presentation & Evaluation - 1 A3
Instrumental Drawing Assessment:
1. Using orthographic projection to depict the front, plan and side view of your tiny space, the plan view can be in the form of a floor plan if you like.
2. Evaluate the effectiveness of your design against your brief and specification requirements. What would you need to do to make this design something that could be built. What do you think the most important design features are? How have you included storage in a clever way?
