In English class, we were having a debate on the motion. This House believed that individuals, rather than states, carry the greater burden of preserving knowledge in oppressive societies. I showed this piece of work because it shows the preparation needed to succeed in an assignment like this. At the start of the debate, I struggled with understanding what the purpose of the rebuttal was, I also struggled with understanding what the rebuttal was. Throughout the process of planning for the debate, I was able to learn about rebuttals and learn what makes a good rebuttal. One low I had during the debate was losing the debate. This showed what I have to work on and what I can do next time to contribute to my team more. My goal is to improve my speaking skills so I can express my ideas more and share what I believe with others
