I am Mrs. Siji Binoy, your math teacher for this academic year. I hail from the beautiful country of India and my experience in mathematics education spans 18 years. Over the years, I have had the privilege of guiding and nurturing young minds, and I am genuinely excited to embark on this new adventure with all of you.

Mathematics is not just a subject; it is a language of logic, patterns, and problem-solving. It opens doors to understanding the universe's intricacies and equips us with skills that extend far beyond the classroom. 

Throughout this academic year, we will explore various mathematics branches.  Be prepared for engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and the occasional "aha!" moments that come with unraveling a challenging problem.

Rafael Serna is the Pre-algebra teacher. Pre-Algebra is designed to prepare students for a standard high school algebraic class. Students are introduced to integers, fractions, square roots, step equations, linear equations, and decimals and are taught how to solve basic equations using variables.  

During this year, the subject of mathematics is focused on giving continuity to what was seen in previous grades but focused on preparing them in Algebra, with topics such as linear equations in one variable, solving any linear equations, systems of linear equations, slopes, transformations, and more subjects. Our program is aligned with the AERO Standards.
