The data below is copied from a live spreadsheet and will be updated on a regular basis, ie. when we see a conflict or an error. If you do see an error or conflict or a missing class, please contact your teacher or Mr. Schult. This document will look different on a computer or a phone; for best results, use a larger screen like a computer. Hard copies of the schedule will be posted around the hallways but remember, the most up to date will always be this live copy.
If a class is too large to safely fit into one classroom, a "SPILL-OVER" classroom has been identified for students to go to. In that SPILL class will be a teacher to supervise. Some teachers may choose to "broadcast" their lesson via ZOOM to the SPILL class. Other teachers may spend 40 minutes in the first class and the 2nd 40 minutes in the 2nd class (giving that 2nd class reading, pre-work to do, aka a "flipped" classroom). This will really depend on the content being taught and the number of students in the SPILL class.
For teachers that are not in Lagos, substitute teachers have been assigned to be in the classroom while the students continue with those teachers via ZOOM.
Wednesdays will remain as it currently is -- open for extra small group and one on one instructions with teachers, extra time for IB students, and extra time for students outside of Lagos. This will also be a time for advisory classes, clubs and ASB activities (remotely). Advisory time starts at 12:00 noon WAT followed by extra IB classes and Flex-Connect time for grades 9 & 10.
On other non-Wednesdays when students are not at school in Lagos (Thursday and Fridays for grades 11 & 12 & Mondays and Tuesdays for grades 9 & 10), teachers are encouraged to continue synchronous lessons if possible. For teachers outside of Lagos, this may not be possible, so asynchronous lessons will occur instead. IB teachers are strongly encouraged to continue synchronous lessons during these off days if at all possible.
UPDATE: From 12 January to 22 January, all classes will be held remotely. No classes will be held at school. See the tabs on the spreadsheet below for class times.
UPDATE: On 25 January, we plan on having students back to campus for face to face learning, all grades, every day. See the tabs on the spreadsheet below for class times. All these plans may change based on government recommendations, quarantines, closures, etc.
Update: On 25 January, we will have Nests back PLUS in person school on Wednesdays based on a 4 week rotational cycle. Don't be confused! You can check the HS Google Calendar for who is ON CAMPUS each day. See:
