Honors Band
The Honors Band is comprised of the top performing 7th & 8th grade students at AMS and is based on auditions.
The Honors Band is directed by Mr. Contreras and meets every day during 3rd Period.
Every member of the band competes in the UIL Concert & Sight-Reading competition, All Region, and Solo & Ensemble competitions.

Each student in Honors Band is required to participate in the following Competitions, Events, and Sectionals:
Pep Rallies and Homecoming Pep Band
Region Band OR Solo and Ensemble Contest
UIL Concert and Sight-Reading
Fall, Christmas, and Spring Concerts
Homeroom Sectionals
