Math skills
OnRamps Precalculus - must take this course junior year to keep calculus as an option & can also take it senior year; vital for engineering students; pairs well with AP Physics 1
AP Calculus AB/BC - vital for students interested in engineering & useful for all STEM
OnRamps Statistics - helpful for all STEM students, especially those interested in medicine & research; pairs well with AP Biology
IB Maths - this course gives you exposure to precal, calculus, and stats over two years
Good to know: you can double up on math junior or senior year
Science knowledge
AP Physics 1 - ALL STEM students should take this course; vital for students interested in engineering (take it junior year); other STEM interests can take it junior or senior year; best paired with precalculus
AP Physics C: Mechanics - important for future engineers who are also in AP Calculus; this is a second-year physics class
AP Biology/ IB Biology - especially important for students interested in medicine; pairs well with statistics
AP Chemistry - especially important for students interested in medicine
AP Computer Science A - this is our highest level computer science course; also available: AP Computer Science Principles and multiple on-level options
AP or IB Environmental - an interdisciplinary course useful for students interested in environmental issues whether from a scientific (technical/research) perspective or a socio-cultural (government/law/communications/marketing) perspective

You'll still need to read & write!
Have at least one advanced-level course in English or History or an elective that requires reading and writing, such as AP Psychology, AP African American History, or IB History
Being bilingual will make you more marketable!
