Concert Attire - IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR 2024/25

We are reintroducing specific uniforms for our ensembles program to promote a cohesive and professional appearance, which enhances the overall performance experience. Uniforms help students focus on their music and foster a strong sense of unity and pride within the ensemble. This consistency reflects our ensemble's high standards and ensures that each performance is visually and artistically polished.

Our students have seen this firsthand in other ensembles performing at the Orlando Music Festival. By investing in a uniform, you are supporting your child's commitment to excellence and contributing to the ensemble’s success as a whole.

Both MS & US will purchase a black polo shirt with the band logo embroidered on it. More details to follow.

Why Appropriate Attire Matters

At AIS, we expect all students to present themselves as mature, sharp-looking individuals, particularly during formal performances. Good stage presence includes looking professional from the moment students step on stage to the moment they leave, including any time spent sitting or waiting.

We believe that "Dressing for Success" is a shared responsibility for every member of our community. Following our school dress code, we request that all skirts be long enough to cover undergarments when seated. 

A Note to Parents & Guardians: We encourage you to review these guidelines with your students and to check their concert attire in advance. Please have your student model their attire to ensure appropriateness.

To maintain our high standards, the AIS Music Department has a limited number of concert black options available in various sizes for loan to any student whose attire does not meet our requirements. 

We are privileged to help shape your young musicians into the successful adults they will become, and we appreciate your support in maintaining our standards for excellence.
