Last Day to Submit: Friday, January 28, 11:59 p.m. IST

WHAT YOU NEED

  1. A smartphone with a camera. You can also use a tripod if you have access to one.

  2. A solid color background or wall with no photos, pictures, decor, etc.

STEP 1: SETTING UP

  1. Choose a solid color background like a white wall, with no photos, pictures, decor, etc.

  2. Make sure your child is facing the light source. The light should be falling on their face.

  3. You can also use a tripod if you have one.

  4. Make sure the camera is at your child’s eye level so they are looking straight at the camera and not looking up or down.

Use this as a guideline to help you take a great portrait photo!

STEP 2: TAKING YOUR PHOTO

  1. Do not take close-up photos. Frame your child by leaving some space on the top, left, and right side of your child. They should be sitting on a chair/stool ideally.

  2. Your child should not be leaning against the wall. Make sure there is ample space between your child and the background.

  3. Side profile shots: Ask your child to tilt their shoulders slightly to the right side and face the camera.

  4. Take 3–5 photos in portrait mode so you have options to choose from. Use these photographs as a guide.

STEP 3: RENAME YOUR PHOTO

  1. IMPORTANT! Rename your photo like this: Homeroom_First Name_Last Name.

    • So if your child’s name is Harry Potter and in Ms. Deepa’s Grade 2 class, make sure to rename your child’s photo as 2DJ_Harry_Potter.

  2. This is extremely important! We will not be able to keep track of submissions or use your child’s portrait if you do not rename the file accordingly.

  3. Once you’ve renamed your child’s portrait, use the form below to upload your portrait.

  4. Please fill up one form per student.
