Essential information about the IA

Topics

Each of the three commentaries must associate with a different part of the course; microeconomics, macroeconomics, global economy.
Each commentary must also use a different key concept as a lens to understand/frame the news.

Structure

3 x 800 word commentaries

diagrams, terminology, application and analyses, concepts and evaluation

Total Marks

each commentary = 14 marks

rubric requirements = 3 marks

maximum total = 45 marks

Importance

SL = 30% of the final grade

HL = 20% of the final grade
