About Rachana
https://rachanasociety.org.in/
Rachana Society for Social Reconstruction has been actively working in the remote villages of Pune district for the upliftment of underprivileged women and children since 1992. Their focus areas are education and health.
One of Rachana’s programs is in support of at-risk girls who may drop out of school. The deprivation of quality education has a cascading effect on their ability to study further, obtain gainful employment and realize their potential. Rachana has provided hostel facilities for girls from 2020-2021 and enabled their education till 12th Standard. About 97% of the girls have completed their higher secondary education and many have gone on to pursue undergraduate degrees. About 60 girls annually receive complete support of boarding, lodging, education and extra-curricular activities.
