Mrs. Engebretson's summer reading stack. What's in your TBR pile?
This summer, I challenge you to read widely. Choose books that reflect your interests and experiences (mirrors), as well as books about the lived experiences of others (windows). Read your favorite genres AND genres you don’t usually gravitate toward. Read to learn; choose a book about a topic you don’t know much about. If interested, use the list below to guide your reading choices. Have fun with it!
Your cloudLibrary accounts are accessible all summer long as a source for free ebooks and audiobooks. And, most metro-area county library systems, including Anoka and Hennepin county libraries, offer ebooks and audiobooks through various apps. Stay informed; you can continue to access the StarTribune and New York Times online throughout the summer. Links to reading, news, and information resources are below.
I hope you have a restful and joyful summer break. Can’t wait to talk books with you in the fall.
Happy reading!
