Dear Parents and Carers
The public exams and summer assessments finally finished this week. Well done to all the students involved and good luck to our Year 12 students who start their work experience on Monday, we hope it goes well.
On Wednesday, we held the Community Careers Event (pictured above and below), where alumnae and parents kindly gave up their time to speak to our Year 10 students about their career paths. It was a briliantly positive event and we thank Mrs Sutton and Mr Pitchers for their hard work in organising, and also our parents and alumnae for giving up their precious time; we are truly grateful.
On Wednesday evening, our Year 11 students celebrated at their Prom. It was a joyful occasion, they looked amazing and we were really truly proud of them. Thank you to the AHSA for organising it and to all who helped and supported the event. I know that the Year 11 students appreciated it very much.
It will not be necessary for students to wear blazers for the remainder of this term. Monday, and possibly Tuesday, in particular, are going to be very hot days. Please remind your daughters to carry and drink plenty of water and, if they have PE or are playing sport, please remind them to wear sunscreen.
Finally, we say a sad goodbye today to Miss Scott, one of our valued Wellbeing Assistants. We will all miss her greatly, both students and colleagues alike. We wish her all the very best for the future.
Thank you so much for your continuing generosity, as we move ever closer to our stretch target of £38,000. Reaching this would allow for additional enhancements to our courts, helping to maximise their use.
As we mentioned before, every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.
Thank you once again for your continuing support, we are truly grateful.
The Year 7 Rounders team (pictured right) played matches against Royal Latin and Waddesdon on Wednesday evening. The final results were:
Waddesdon 1st
Royal Latin 2nd
AHS 3rd
Well done to all!

We thank the parents who brought in some fabulous gifts, and to all our generous sponsors.

Buy more and increase your chances of winning!
Thank you in advance and best wishes from everyone here at the Aylesbury High School Association. Have a great summer holiday!
On Saturday, 5 students from Years 8 to 11 descended on Ford’s Dunton site to compete against 15 other schools with our electric racing car. We managed to pass the very strict scrutineering before entering the first heat. A couple of issues with the drive chain held us back, but we had an excellent second heat. In the afternoon we were hit with more technical issues leading to retiring early from Heats 4 and 5. Everyone had a good day despite the problems and we have lots to work on before the final event of the season in September. We are also hoping to complete a second car for next season.
We meet Monday lunchtimes either in TC7 or the foyer near Drama, new members always welcome.
The team is entirely funded by sponsorship. If you would like to help with sponsorship, please get in touch.
