Adam is originally from Alleghany, and a graduate of Alleghany High School class of 2003. Adam is the high school band director and has a passion for music and teaching, but most importantly being there for his wife and three kids! Adam received a Bachelor of Arts in Music education and a Masters in Christian Leadership from Kentucky Christian University. The 2025/2026 season will be his fourth season as director. Adam is very excited to lead the band into shows, parades, and competitions for many years!

With three years experience coaching color guard, Laura is ready to get started on her fourth season here at AHS! She is originally from Vinton, VA where she was a member of the William Byrd Color Guard for three years. After going to Radford for most of her college degree, she is now finishing her degree in Communications with Southern New Hampshire University online! She is currently a secretary with the school divisions Maintenance and Transportation Department. Laura looks forward to being a color guard instructor with AHPS Marching Cougars for years to come!
