ABOUT
Established in 2023 with the combining of Alleghany County Public Schools and Covington City Public Schools, the AHPS Marching Band is ready to thrive and grow for our community. With the 2023/2024 inaugural season starting at 42 members, we are striving to grow our program to reach the full potential for our students. The Marching Cougars are ready to show off their Cougar pride!

OUR MISSION
Alleghany High School Marching Band is dedicated to setting the stage for our students to have the best possible experience in the marching band program. We strive to prepare our students for the future, not only in a musical aspect but in leadership skills, communication skills, and so much more. We want to cultivate a family dynamic within our program and assist in developing each students self confidence. Our main goal is to be all in, all the time.
LOCATION
Our primary location for the AHS Marching Band is Alleghany High School housed at:
210 Mountaineer Drive Covington, Virginia 24426.
Our home games are played at Casey Field in Covington, Virginia.
