our story

Nelson Mandela said:

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.  The power of education  extends beyond the development of skills we need for economic success - it heals.”

Aim Higher in Education Incorporated (AHIE) was founded in 2009 to inspire like minded “friends” to collaborate on non-traditional education projects in a holistic, inclusive and empowering community.

The unique background of our members enables us to support diverse vocations, cultures and communities ….. especially those that face barriers to education on a daily basis.

This is why our mission is to reach higher -- AIM HIGHER IN EDUCATION.   Creating educational environments defined by knowledge-based activities that develop and demonstrate the value of education, cultural awareness and community service is our driving force.

We have started projects in West Africa (Burkina Faso), Winston-Salem, NC, and Murrieta, CA and will continue to expand and push the limits of our minds.

AHIE's mission is to engage partners across diverse learning environments by conducting knowledge-based activities, building cultural awareness, and advocating for community service and education.

3-Minute Reel: Real Talk on...

Remote Learning and the 2020-21 school reopening process requires serious consideration by affected & afflicted communities. As a collective of educators, we’re grateful to be in the lives of our students & families as they navigate through politics in their quest for learning.

These 3-minute reels lets us hear from the communities themselves...those that teach, that learn, that head their household or have to do all three in these unprecedented times.  Watch each reel on Youtube or Facebook.
