Ahmedabad University is a private, non-profit research university that offers students a liberal education focused on interdisciplinary learning and research thinking. While pioneering in liberal arts education, Ahmedabad University also strives to create the optimum environment that fosters educational growth and encourages mental and physical well being. One of the ways to achieve this goal is through clubs and associations. Clubs and Associations are considered an integral part of Ahmedabad University since they allow students to participate in a variety of co-curricular activities, academic associations and social and cultural events, which are designed and developed by the students themselves. When students from different disciplines and backgrounds come together for a shared interest, it makes the environment more interdisciplinary and inclusive.
Pehchaan - The Students' Magazine Club of Ahmedabad University
Yesterday, we dreamt of it; today, we are in the being.
We are reporters, we are critics, we are entertainers, we are the creators and the conveyers.
We are the voice of the students; we are your Expressions.
We are the Ahmedabad University Students’ Magazine. We are Pehchaan.
Each one of us is born with our own creative outlook, all it needs is a reason; a reason to read, explore, write, imagine and create our own thoughts spectrum -think unlikely. Find your reason and start creating, the platform is yours.
We intend to create an environment that accounts for social responsibilities, political and cultural awareness by redefining the traditional scopes of a magazine. We encourage every student of the University to voice their opinions and promote a culture that portrays sensitivity towards the multifarious facets of the modern world.
We intend to build a system that is available to every individual of the University and which helps them to express themselves. We also wish to initiate a process whereby the students can get a chance to retrospect and understand their own identity and indulge in personal growth.
