First meeting, introductions, general discussions on the first steps towards laying the foundation of our project.
Decided upon a topic of focus(self-harm), and began the groundwork of the project. Started the website and social media account.
Reached out to Zach Martindale and selected him as our mental health wellness consultant. We set a date to talk to Zach in person on Nov. 27th
The meeting was used to prompt ideas and centralize our thoughts on what our development process going forward would look like.
Used time after school (about 2-3 hours each day) to collaborate and research the topic thoroughly, organizing notes and condensing facts from reputable sources.
Went over talking points for our mini-presentation with Mr. Martindale, and compared notes and thoughts on research done on our own time.
Went over the project with Mr. Martindale, highlighting key research points, ideas for the social media campaign process, and sought insight for reaching the audience we wanted to.
Organized our process, doing general "house-cleaning" and came up with posts and ideas, as well as a theme to follow for the social media promotion.
Finalized the rough drafts for both the social media and our website, and began preparation for presentation at competition.
Got feedback from Mr. Martindale on our rough draft and presentation, reviewing some weaknesses and items that could be further improved. We placed the project on pause going into midterms week.
Coming back from both midterms and holidays, we went through the notes from our discussion with Mr. Martindale and addressed each point individually, making key changes to our social media promotion's outward perception.
We worked on quality control and with Mr. Martindale, reflected on the promotion as a whole, ensuring that the project had aligned with our goals and expectations at the beginning of the project, and was ready for presentation.
Conferred with HOSA officers, Members, and our Advisor for final reviews, adaptations, and reassurances
Started rolling out our planned posts, and finished up the final details of the website and presentation.
Submit project, "final" details, and resources to HOSA site for competition/presentation review and judging.
