XII Int. Shallow Lakes Conference

We are very happy to announce that the next XII International Shallow Lakes Conference will be held in Buenos Aires, from October 4 to 9, 2026.

This meeting is a fantastic opportunity for shallow lakers of the world to share, to learn, to showcase and to debate the knowledge that builds our science.

We are preparing an exciting program that invites you to be part of this gathering, which will focus on the ecology of these wonderful water bodies, their structure and function, the essential services they provide, and all the biodiversity and natural beauty they harbor.

Host Institution

The Universidad de Buenos Aires is the most important university in Argentina and one of the most prestigious in the world, with five Nobel laureates among its former faculty members. The School of Agriculture holds the Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The Aquaculture and Aquatic Ecology Lab, devoted to teaching and research in limnology, will host the XII International Shallow Lakes Conference.
