Natalya Barker - Natalya is an alumna of Duke University's Graduate Liberal Studies program. She works as a writer and editor in rural North Carolina, and previously owned an independent bookshop where she got to witness firsthand the power of fiction in shaping social discourse. She has presented at two previous AGLSP conferences and serves as a reviewer-at-large for Confluence.
Andréa Bolt - Andréa is an ambitious, outgoing educator and communicator driven to inspire outside-the-box thinking specifically regarding LGBTQIA+ issues, women and gender studies, and inequity, within the contexts of communications, marketing, and social media. She is a former journalist turned teacher passionate about making an impact in higher education by encouraging a higher level of critical thinking to help students grow in their understanding toward cultivating a deeper awareness and broader understanding of the world.
Michael Breger - Michael is a Master of Liberal Arts candidate at Stanford and a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he studied history and astronomy. He works at Stanford's Asia-Pacific Research Center and his thesis research focuses on the poetics of Allen Ginsberg.
Gregory George Guthrie - Greg grew up in Tulsa, graduating from Oklahoma State University. After working in the Petroleum Industry, he moved to Washington, DC in 1986, where his mother, Helen Guthrie was serving in the Reagan White House. He has worked at the Commerce Department, the World Bank, the Library of Congress. Mr. Guthrie attained a Masters Degree from Georgetown University. His thesis "Labor Unions : Champions of Social Justice," was published as a book in 2010.
Kristina Kwacz - Kristina completed her MALS degree at SUNY Empire State College as a midlife scholar. Now an independent researcher, she continues to present her work to academic and general audiences locally, nationally, and internationally. Her areas of interest include memory work with family photos, Polish and Eastern European Studies, the history of Poland during WWII, and the Polish diaspora in the United States.
Aaron Lamb - Aaron is an experienced venture creator - builder - grower with a demonstrated history of working in healthcare technology organizations, consumer products, and supply chains. He is proficient in consultative selling, sales management, & team building. Strong entrepreneurial professional. Skilled integrated marketer and communication specialist. Avid reader & traveler. World culture junkie. Father to eight lovely humans. Aaron graduated from Johns Hopkins University in May of 2022 with a Masters of Liberal Arts degree. He is currently seeking a Doctor of Liberal Studies degree at the University of Memphis with a concentration in Data-Driven Healthcare Technology - History, Pedagogy, and Organizational Adoption.
Fyza Parviz Jazra - Fyza is a master's student in Stanford's Liberal Arts Department. She is currently working on her thesis titled "John Greaves and the Praxis of Astronomy in Early Seventeenth-Century England: Philology, Arabic Scholarship, and Empiricism." She is also a member of a Digital Project sponsored by St. John's College, Oxford called "Arabic Books and Astronomy in Seventeenth-Century Oxford." The goal of the project has been to be digitize and curate John Greaves's manuscripts and archives at the Bodleian Library.
Marla Shaivitz - Marla is the Director of Digital Strategy at the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs and is currently a master of liberal arts student at the Johns Hopkins University.
