Rain World is a game you play as a young slug-cat, a nomadic, omnivorous creature who relies on a group of 4-5 slug-cats, intelligence, and the use of weapons such as rubbish, spear, cherrybomb, explosive spear, grenade, flashbang, beehive, and spore puffs to thrive in a world filled with predators that has periodic torrential rains. You are a nomadic slug-cat, both predator and prey in the Industrial Wastes. Hunt enough food to survive, but be wary, other, bigger creatures have the same plan. The game is run on PlayStation 4, Windows, and Nintendo Switch. Rain world costs $ 32.50 it came out in 2017 and Rain world is rated is 4.5 stars.
The game genres are platform, survival, and simulator. The objective of rain world is to survival in a hostile world. The main goal is to find the slug-cats family. The difficulty of Rain world is hard enough to make some people want to throw their screens out their window I would compare the game to Dark souls or Hollow knight, the types of games where when you die you want to quit. The game controls are usable on a keyboard or a controller and work the same mostly though some people prefer to use the controller or keyboard, but you can use either.
If someone is looking for a fun and difficult game, I would recommend it to them to play as the survivor character or if they want to play an easier game play, they could play as the Monk characters, either way this game is fun and an enjoyable experience all around.

Fortnite is a third person, battle royal game, where you try to be the last man standing in an epic match. You run around the map grabbing new guns from a pistol to a sniper rifle killing all your enemies. In Fortnite you can also build when you get into a sticky situation. You fight your opponents, and the map slowly closes in, so you keep fighting with no breaks resulting in action-packed rounds. There is also a battle pass that gives you multiple skins, pickaxes, emotes and back items to drip out your character. This game is available on the switch, PC, PlayStation, Xbox and mobile. Fortnite has been out since July 21st 2017 and it was one of the top games and still is.
I highly recommend getting Fortnite because it is a free game and cross platform meaning you can play with your PlayStation friends when you are on Xbox. I recommend this game to anybody who likes action games and gun game.
Game review: God of war Ragnarök
By Cole Aleck
The game takes place in a place called Midgard it is a cold forest and there is a curse called Fimble winter and it is a harsh environment.
There are 4 main characters, their names are Kratos, Atreus, Brok and Sindri. Brok and Sindri are blacksmiths that can make anything, and Kratos is a Spartan, that killed gods and destroyed towns, but was forced to do so. Atreus is an archer that has a big heart and cares for everyone, even his enemies.
God of War starts with Kratos (the god of war) and Atreus (Loki). Loki goes hunting and gets a big deer. After he went hunting, they both went home to check on their sick dog named Fenrir, but they were too late. They mourn and bury him. Odin and Thor show up for context Kratos killed his sons and Thor wanted to pay a blood debt, that is what Thor called it. They battle but no one prevails, and Odin starts a war called Ragnarök. Near the end of the game, the main character needs to get an army to help beat them, but I will not tell you who wins the war you will have to find out for yourself.
Thats the story, but this is what the gameplay is like. First, you usually encounter weak enemy's but they gradually get harder. Sometimes you encounter boss fights or mini bosses, they are hard to beat if you're just starting off. But the more you play, the better you get, it's not too hard. It’s a PS4 only game sadly, but hopefully it'll be on all platforms someday. You collect experience points to level up Kratos and Atreus; the more levels you get the more skills you can learn and armour you can find. You can also find runes or runic abelites that are stronger than most moves and attacks. The game is solid, there's little to no bugs, the mechanics make sense, there's a delightful story, and there's funny jokes and wholesome story telling. There is some gore, so if you don’t like that, then don’t play. Overall, I think the it is a solid game.
Dying in Horror Games – How to do it right
If you have ever played a Horror game, you probably know what happens when you die in them; you respawn or restart. However, this isn’t the best way to do it. Simply respawning makes dying feel like a minor roadblock, and when you die repeatedly, it really loses impact. Unlike what some other games do; where when you die, you are either sent back to the lobby or returned to the menu entirely. This makes it feel like you have really lost, especially after a jumpscare. Another way games do this is by setting a number of chances (or lives) that you have to complete the level/game. These tricks are best used in games where death is infrequent. You should also make sure that dying isn’t too inconvenient, for example; completely closing the game when you die would make it more frustrating.
Why the Video Game Industry is Dying
By Jaymes Gill
In the first few months of 2022 there were many major releases such as Pokémon, Elden Ring, Dying Light, just to name a few this gave us a false sensation of hope because the two biggest titles of this year Starfield and The Legend of Zelda have been repeatedly delayed to a point where people wondering if they're even coming! However, all the new game titles that have been revealed are set to release in late 2023.
So why are games coming late? Well as far as we can see these are the repercussions of Covid-19, because the world is still recovering from the virus and its disruptions. Game release isn’t the only factor of gaming that have been delayed or affected, updates to major game titles like Minecraft have not reached its audience as quickly as we hoped.
However, the main reason for the video game industry ‘dying’ is ‘game quality’. Like movies, many companies are adding onto their game trilogy rather than making a completely new game, this wouldn’t be a problem, but the games or sequels are so bad because of repetitive gameplay and in-game glitches make the game indifferent from the previous game. The most notorious series that does this in Call of Duty also known as COD, another many people don’t talk about is ‘souls’ games made by ‘Fromsoftware’ the examples are Dark Souls and Demon Souls.
Money is still rolling in for these companies because we still hope that the games will be at least mediocre but to no avail the games are still terrible every time. The video game companies that make consoles to play the games know this, so they up the prices on older, better games so you must pay more or use a subscription service to obtain these games, for “free”. They aren’t free, because you must pay every so often. They also string you along with benefits and extra features like deals, online capabilities and these let them take features that are normal and turn them into premium services.
However, don’t give up hope, because many more games like God of War Ragnarök, and Horizon Forbidden West are coming, and they look spectacular.

Friday the 13th is a horror game where you get chosen to be either the killer, or a player. If you’re the killer, the objective is for you to eliminate the players. There are many ways you can do this, by using weapons, defence moves, or one of the most common ways, using the throwing knife. If you’re the player, you're goal is to escape the killer. Some ways you can do this are by getting gas, keys, and a battery for a car so you can get away. If you’re a player, your speed a little bit faster than the killer. The killer walks slower which makes it slightly easier to run away. Players can defend themselves by finding weapons such as guns, bats, or axes. The gun only has one bullet, but it can still be effective if you have good aim. Although, one downside to being a player is that you can run out of stamina. If you run out of stamina, then the killer is more likely to eliminate you. If you do get eliminated, you’ll have to wait for the game to end, before another one starts.
I really enjoy playing this game, mainly because of how it is scary. That makes it more fun to play, but only if you can handle horror games. Personally, I prefer getting chosen to be a player rather than the killer, because I enjoy getting chased and trying to escape. I think this game is more fun when I play with my friends. This way, we can come up with tactics to either escape or kill together.
Friday the 13th is slightly comparable to another game, Modern Warfare, but the latter is more unique. In Modern Warfare, one difference is that it’s not scary. You also aren’t escaping a killer, but instead are fighting a team that’s trying to defend themselves against you.
I would recommend this game to someone who has never played it. That being said, only to anyone who likes and can deal with scary things. I really enjoy it, and I definitely think others can too.
