Convention registration is due no later than Friday, June 27. Hotel accommodations must be booked by Friday, June 20 in order to take advantage of the room block rate at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. A special group rate ($199.00/night) is available to AFTPA members who make hotel reservations prior to June 20.

The following meals are provided for all Convention delegates and attendees. You must indicate on your registration if you plan to attend Saturday lunch and dinner, and if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies.
Friday: 9:30 p.m. reception. Delegates and guests are invited to enjoy wine, beer, and snacks
Saturday: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Sunday: Breakfast
Each local is eligible to send one delegate as a Gold Card attendee, meaning the AFTPA will cover or reimburse all related travel, hotel, food, and convention expenses. You must indicate in your registration if you are a Gold Card delegate and if the AFTPA needs to book your hotel room for you.
The following expenses are eligible for reimbursement from the AFTPA for Gold Card delegates. Note: All itemized receipts MUST be submitted for reimbursement.
Mileage from your home to the convention site and back (current approved state mileage rate is $0.70/mile.
All tolls paid for transportation to and from the Convention
Parking fees at the convention (unless AFTPA provides parking vouchers)
Hotel fees (minus fees for extras such as movie rentals, mini bar, room service, etc.)
The following meals will be provided by the AFTPA free of charge or are eligible for reimbursement:
Friday
Dinner will be reimbursed by the AFTPA, with the exception of if you are attending the President's Dinner, which the AFTPA is providing.
Saturday
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided by the AFTPA.
Sunday
Breakfast is provided by the AFTPA.
Lunch will be reimbursed by the AFTPA.

Delegates and attendees should wear business casual attire. Please note that the convention space will be air conditioned and may be cooler, so please plan accordingly.
AFTPA will be hosting two raffles, one benefitting the Committee to Support Public Education (CSPE) and a free raffle for AFTPA members. The CSPE is AFTPA's political action fund, and tickets cost $10 each. The AFTPA general raffle is free.

Tickets will be distributed for the AFTPA General Raffle during credential pick up, and the CSPE tickets will be on sale Friday, July 11 through Sunday, July 13. All drawings will take place on Sunday, July 13.
AFT Pennsylvania will provide a feedback box at the Convention for written comments, questions, and concerns. We will also have a digital feedback form available throughout the Convention, and it will also be emailed to AFTPA members after the Convention concludes.
