Activities at Gorse Lodge Retreat

Gorse Retreat is an idyllic rural retreat for corporate entertaining, stag & hen events, or just a memorable day out with family and friends. The Retreat sits within its own landscaped grounds and lakes. The clay shooting ground adjacent to the Retreat is set in the heart of Lincolnshire surrounded by woods, lakes and over 100 acres of breath-taking countryside.

Whether you are looking for several days clay pigeon or game shooting, a large corporate day or a small private day for family Gorse Retreat can source exactly what you are looking for. With access to some of the most fantastic shooting estates – from prestigious to the relatively unknown. Your shooting experience can be completely tailor made from game shooting to clay pigeon or simulated shooting. The shooting ground is situated in the stunning Moor Farm Estate where Malcolm Partridge also operates the estate game shoot.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

We offer a highly recommended clay pigeon shooting facility, which has been laid out by George Digweed, numerous times World Champion in this field.

Under the expert guidance and safe tuition of our qualified coaches, you and your guests can be assured their day will be both fun and memorable.

We can provide everything you need - guns, cartridges, hearing protectors, catering and prizes should you require.

With our first-class catering facilities we can offer you a large range of refreshments and menu ideas. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner by the fire in the Retreat for your guests, or alternatively in the summer we can arrange a BBQ or hog roast in the garden.

Brandon Wood Clay Pigeon Shooting Ground

Smashing your first clay or practising for the most challenging of game shoots, we have something for everyone.

The shoot is set within a manicured piece of Lincolnshire countryside with woodchip pathways to guide you around the course and layouts; a welcoming clubhouse to relax in with catering facilities and local produce.

We also have a tuition sporting course that is perfect for beginners and where we host most of our groups and party shoot days.

The Ground is available for individual practice or tuition is available with any of our friendly and fully qualified coaches.

We host local and national competitions and events throughout the year, including Forces and Charity Days.

Enjoy a spot of shooting and a BBQ lunch or dinner whilst staying at Gorse Retreat throughout the summer months. Ideal for a relaxed afternoon or early evening activity to accompany a days work or half a days conference. Enjoy 25, 50 or 75 shots under professional instruction including refreshments and prizes and shoot until 6pm. Conclude with drinks and a BBQ.

Murder Mystery - Team building using drama

You will not be subjected to 'Death by PowerPoint'!

It's Murder will facilitate these events which are very cost effective and are not affected by the weather or location.

Aims and objectives

Delegates will work in teams to develop their skills by planning, presenting and solving mini-murder mysteries. You will participate fully, demonstrate leadership qualities but at the same time be able to work as a team, making and taking direction in order to reach your aims and fulfill your objectives.

Whilst the sessions are fun to participate in, all delegates will experience personal development, delegation, time and project management and financial awareness.
