At Kingsley Academy we are kind, courageous and curious.

PrincipalWelcome to Kingsley...
I am privileged to lead Kingsley Academy as Principal, and extremely proud of the phenomenal achievements that we have secured over the past 5 years. Our school is a warm welcoming place, which is characterised by excellent teaching, high levels of support and exceptional relationships between staff and students. Year on year the school continues to improve and students make progress which is well above their peers nationally. Students at Kingsley secure outcomes that are half a grade higher than others with the same starting point. Our outcomes at GCSE and A-Level have continued to improve and we are very proud to be full in every year group with a significant waiting list. Our improvement in academic outcomes for all students is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff body who go above and beyond.
Our students are our absolute strength. They are overwhelmingly polite, respectful and hard-working. At Kingsley Academy, we are big believers in instilling values of kindness, courage and curiosity in our students. We expect our students to be kind, be brave and have a thirst for learning and it is our job to provide them with the opportunities to excel. This is evident in our students' attitude towards learning, their respectful and polite manner towards each other, and in their interactions in the local community. Upholding these three values is part of the character development journey that every Kingsley student will travel across their 7 years with us. Our character development journey is mapped to give students everything they need to be successful in school and beyond.
My ambition is to lead the school to sustainable excellence and be the top performing school in the country. This ambition will mean that every student can and will have everything they need to lead a successful and fulfilling life.
Ofsted visited our school in October 2019, and acknowledged that Kingsley Academy had 'transformed in a short period of time'. Inspectors judged our school as 'Good' in all areas, and commented that students received a good education at the academy, and that the school had outstanding potential for further development.
At Kingsley Academy, we want to establish ourselves, as 'a school at the heart of our community, developing knowledge, ambition and kindness to prepare students for success at University and the world beyond'. In order to achieve this, we are committed to ensuring that every lesson at the academy, is challenging and engaging. I am passionate about the power of education to transform lives, and feel strongly that Kingsley Academy, now has the right staff in place to ensure that our school goes from strength to strength. I am proud of the progress that Kingsley Academy has made so far, and know that it will quite quickly take it's rightful place as an exceptional school.
In order to get a true sense of our remarkable school, I urge you to organise a visit to see our school in action. If you would like to arrange a visit, then this can be arranged by contacting, Julie Traynor, PA to the Principal by Email here who will be happy to arrange a suitable time.
