About AE Control Services

My name is Andrew Eubank. I am the owner and operator of AE Control Services, LLC, located in Newburgh, Indiana. I established this single person business in May of 2023, with the goal of servicing local industry’s automated control needs.

I have 20 years of experience in industrial facilities. I began my career in 2004 as an electrical apprentice with the IBEW Local 16. I became a licensed journeyman electrician in May of 2008 and completed the 5-year apprenticeship in May of 2009. Through the apprenticeship I earned an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Maintenance.

From 2008 to 2023, I worked as a journeyman electrician. Much of this time was spent as a service technician in heavy industrial facilities such as smelters, mills, power generating stations, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.

From 2011 through 2023, my services were dedicated to the electrical and automated control needs of Evansville Water and Sewer Utility. While I took care of their industrial electrical needs, I specialized in troubleshooting, repairing, and updating their automated electrical systems and process instrumentation. I also gave consultation and review of lift station upgrades, plant expansions, and numerous other improvement projects.

As technology and automation advanced with my customers, I also progressed. In 2019, I began on-the-job training with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human machine interfaces (HMI). I began writing my own PLC programs and developing HMI screens for upgrades and retrofit projects, along with debugging sophisticated PLC programs and systems.

After gaining several years of experience with programmable controllers, I began seeing an industry-wide need for a person with my skillset. The benefits to complex municipal and industrial processes from a multi-disciplinary PLC technician with electrical control systems and process instrumentation backgrounds are compounded over a standard controls electrician or PLC technician. To this end, I achieved Silver and Gold certifications as a Programmable Control Specialist through the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA). These certifications, along with my work experience gave me the qualifications necessary for professional liability insurance, thus I established AE Control Services, LLC.
