Joana was asked to tell us about recycling practices at her home. Here is her testimony.
In my house we have recycling bins to separate the plastic and the paper. But you don’t need to buy anything to help the environment, you can use other objects such as bags and boxes to recycle.
My family loves coffee, so we found these bags from “Nespresso” where we can put the used capsules, and then we just need to deliver the bag either at the “Nespresso” store or at a drop-off recycling location. If you love coffee, and you want to help the environment, you just need to ask for one of those bags at the “Nespresso” store.
At my house, we use these tote bags instead of plastic bags. If you don’t have one, you can help the environment by just using plastic bags more than just once.
At my school, we have recycling bins to separate the paper and the plastic. At your school or workplace, if you don’t have one, you can put the trash in a bag and when your day is finished, you can go to the closer drop-off recycling location and leave it there.
In the classrooms, we also have recycling bags. But, if you keep the trash, at the end of the day when you come home, you should put the trash in your home recycling bins.
