Tips for at-home practice

  • Draw connect-the-dot pictures. (fine motor practice)

  • Practice drawing curved, straight, and zigzag lines (fine motor practice).

  • Say a sound, have student write the letter: “Ssss” Student writes ‘s’

  • Practice writing capital and lowercase letters.

  • Have your child draw pictures and then describe them to you (does their description match the picture?)

  • Practice identifying and/or writing the beginning, middle, or end sounds in words.
