The background illustration used on this website was created by Luna Silva, a 9Ba student. It has received an Honourable Mention in the international Save The Frogs competition 2025.

Founded in 2008 by amphibian biologist Dr. Kerry Kriger, SAVE THE FROGS! is the world’s most effective amphibian conservation organization. They work in California, across the USA, and around the world to prevent the extinction of amphibians, and to create a better planet for humans and wildlife.

The mission of SAVE THE FROGS! is to protect amphibian populations and to promote a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife. Ther vision is a world in which not a single amphibian species is threatened with extinction. With your advice, your involvement and your financial support, we are 100% positive we can SAVE THE FROGS!

Agrupamento de Escolas António Nobre (AEAN), as the coordinator school, is a public organisation. Located at the heart of Porto city. AEAN currently comprises seven schools (four elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school). At the beginning of the academicyear, AEAN had nearly 1500 students. Among these, nearly 300 attend high school and a little over 50% of these chose a Vocational Education and Training Course (VET course – Level IV EQF). Our learning programs are three. The first one is Secondary Education, the second one is Primary education and the third one is Pre-school Education. AEAN is also an inclusive school district and the importance of inclusion, tolerance, acceptance and equity are milestones of our Educational project. We have students from more than 30 different nationalities. They have an heterogenous socioeconomic background.
